THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS: Shell Offshore Inc said that its affiliate, Shell E and P Offshore Services BV, will exercise a contractual right to purchase the Turritella floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel from SBM Offshore.  The vessel is contracted for the Stones deep-water development in the Gulf of Mexico, which began production last year. PARIS, FRANCE: Air Liquide SA has signed new supply contracts covering a period of 10 to 15 years with three major Chinese fibre optics manufacturers. In the frame of these new contracts with Futong Group Communication Technology, Yangtze Optical Fibre, and Zhongtian Technology Fine Materials, Air Liquide will supply a total exceeding 6,000 Nm3 per hour of hydrogen and 4,000 Nm3 per hour of nitrogen. Read more.
