Total, Domo inaugurates €60 million benzene project


Total Raffinerie Mitteldeutschland and Domo Chemicals have inaugurated the 60-million-euro benzene production and extraction joint project in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. This project consisted in constructing a new unit at the refinery that enriches an intermediate product from the gasoline production, transporting this benzene-cut through a 1.6 km pipeline and feeding a new Domo’s unit to produce chemical products. Both units started operation at the beginning of 2018, after a 3-years and accident-free construction period. Domo and Total have been working closely together for years. Read more

 

Tata Chemicals Limited has completed the sale and disposal of its phosphatic fertilisers business and the trading business comprising bulk and non-bulk fertilisers to IRC Agrochemicals Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indorama Holdings BV. Tata Chemicals has received the consideration of Rs. 872.84 crores from IRC. Thus, on completion of the transaction, the divestment business of the company pursuant to the BTA stands transferred to IRC Agrochemicals effective June 1, 2018. Earlier this year the Company also announced the completion of sale of the urea business to Yara Fertilisers India for a consideration of Rs.2682 Cr. Read more

 

SK Capital Partners has entered into an agreement to acquire SI Group, a leading global developer and manufacturer of performance additives and intermediates. Headquartered in Schenectady, New York, SI Group operates 20 manufacturing facilities on five continents with more than $1 billion in annual sales and over 2,800 employees worldwide. SI Group is being acquired from the descendants of W Howard Wright, who founded the company in 1906. At the close of the transaction, SK Capital will combine SI Group and Addivant, a leading global supplier of additives including antioxidants, antiozonants, inhibitors, polymer modifiers and UV stabilizers. Read more
